OK folks  here’s something that can hit home hard AND a great opportunity for you to do something if you’re in NJ.

This woman works with Monica at MSU – If you can help Delaney (story is below) please call Nadia at (201) 996-4819 so that she can determine your donor eligibility. In addition, please free to forward this message to anyone in the Hackensack area who might be interested. Thanks!

Kaitlin is an employee of Montclair State University who has a 5 month old daughter named Delaney. Delaney has cancer and has been in and out of the hospital. She is being treated with chemo & will need numerous blood transfusions.  I am asking you to consider donating for Delaney.  Her blood type is O+.  This means she can accept whole blood donations from people who have O+ or O- blood and receive platelets from all other blood types.  Donating must be done at Hackensack Medical Center and will take about an hour of your time.

If you are interested, you are asked to contact Nadia at the Blood Bank in Hackensack Medical Center.  She will ask you a few preliminary questions to see if you are an acceptable donor.  You can reach Nadia at 201-996-4819.  Kaitlin’s sister Jenna is tracking the donations.  If you successfully donate, she asks that you drop her a note that you have done so.  You can reach her at jennakurdyla (at) gmail (dot) com.
